;D Soft Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 c. flour – the more flour, more cake like 1 c. butter 3/4 c. white sugar 3/4 c. packed brown sugar 1 egg 1 t. vanilla 1 t. salt 1 t. baking soda 1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips *chopped nuts, if desired Oven at 350º Mix butter and sugars until well blended; add vanilla and egg to mixture, mix well. In separate bowl mix flour, salt and baking soda until well blended. Mix flour mixture with butter mixture; add chocolate chips and nuts (if desired). Take 1 1/2 to 2 T. of dough and roll into a ball, press hands together to flatten. (I use a cookie scoop and flatten slightly). Place on greased cookie sheets 1 inch apart. Bake 9 to 11 minutes, cool 2 minutes and transfer to a cooling rack.
