Here is the original recipe, I made the dough in my bread machine and used shorter pots (3 1/2 inches high), which you will use 5 pots if you do it this way. Make sure the pots are lead free, wash and dry very well. Bell Pepper and Onion Flowerpot Bread 1 1/2 t. salt 1/2 stick butter Scant 4 cups white bread flour 1 package yeast Warm water to mix 2 large onions, finely chopped Olive oil for frying Scant 1/2 cup basil leaves, coarsely chopped 3 red bell peppers, finely chopped (I used 1 red, 1 yellow and 1 green) You will need 3 flowerpots for this recipe, each 4 inches/10 cm in diameter and 25.5 cm/10 inches high. Add the salt and butter to the dough and mix. Dilute the yeast in a little water and add this to the flour, then mix enough warm water to make the dough pliable. Knead for 5 minutes, or until elasticated. Place in a bowl, cover and let rise for 1 hour in a warm place. Cook the onions in the oil until translucent, then set aside to cool. When cool, mix with the bell peppers and add that to the dough, blending together. Divide into 3 equal pieces and mold them into pieces. Line the insides with parchment paper and place the balls of dough into the pots. Let rise 1 hour. Preheat oven at 400ยบ. Bake flowerpots for 30 minutes, turn onto a cooling rack. When cool, back into the pots. Source - 100 Great Breads

I need to get my recipe out for the bread we made in coffee cans. They sure are pretty but now it is hard to find real tin coffee cans as everything is going plastic. Very nice looking recipe
