Cheese Melt Hot Dog Makes 8 sandwiches.
6 - cup water 8 - Hot Dogs 8 - slices sourdough bread 2 - teaspoons butter or margarine, soften 1/4 - cup prepared mustard 8 - slices process American cheese 1/4 - cup butter or margarine, melted
In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil and add the hot dogs. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 5 to 8 minutes. Spread sourdough bread with butter (or margarine) and mustard.
Place bread slices on ungreased baking sheet and top each with cheese slice. Place hot dogs diagonally on the cheese. Fold bread over to form a triangle. Secure with wooden toothpicks. Brush with melted butter.
Place baking sheet under broil (or oven at 550°F.) Broil the sandwich for about 2 minutes or until golden brown.
