Greek Rice with Pork Sausages
1 cup of long grain rice
1 tablespoon of butter
1 tablespoon of finely chopped onion
1½ cup of chicken broth
½ teaspoon of chervil
1 pinch of thym
1 bay-tree leaf
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
2 pork sausages
salt and pepper
Instructions
Pre-heat oven at 350F.
Boil sausages for 5 minutes over high heat. Drain and set aside
Rince rince under cold water. Drain and set aside.
In a casserole, melt butter at medium heat and fry in the onions for about 3 minutes until golden.
Incorporate the rice and cook while stirring for another 3 minutes.
Add in the chicken broth and spices
Cover and let cook for 10 minutes in the oven.
Finely slice the sausages.
Add the sliced sausages to the mixture and let cook for a nother 10 minutes in the oven.
