We really liked the flavor of these, but I am a wing snob and really like mine deep fried best. I think this rub would be excellent on chicken breasts! Grilled Firecracker Chicken Wings 12 chicken wings (2 1/2 pounds) 2 tablespoons chili powder 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves 1 1/4 teaspoons ground red pepper (cayenne) 1 teaspoon garlic salt 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon pepper Sour cream, if desired 1. Fold tips of chicken wings under opposite ends to form triangles. 2. Place remaining ingredients except sour cream in heavy-duty resealable plastic food-storage bag. Seal bag and shake to blend seasonings. Add chicken. Seal bag and shake until chicken is coated with seasonings. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes but no longer than 24 hours. 3. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat. 4. Remove chicken from bag. Cover and grill chicken 4 to 6 inches from medium heat 20 to 25 minutes, turning after 10 minutes, until juice of chicken is no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut. Serve with sour cream and a sprinkle of paprika if desired. From "Betty Crocker's Great Grilling"

These were excellent and I cannot wait to make them again........I think the recipe would work very well with chicken legs.

I was thinking of making extra (chicken breasts) next time and slicing them up and topping a pizza. Doesn't that sound good?

Okay... break it down for me.... How spicy are these? I'm not a wing fan (I like them but I don't eat the skin) so it would be better for me to make this recipe w/chicken breasts.
I'm weak when it comes to spice, though I know I can control it w/the cayenne pepper.
Are these really spicy?

Gobucks, use chicken breasts. They are not that spicy, but the more you eat you can feel a little zip! Just use half the cayenne and serve up with ranch.
