25 guavas 1 1/2 liters water 1 1/2 cups sugar cinnamon sticks to taste
Servings: 10 Preparation Time: 30 Min. Cooking Time: 2 Hrs. 0 Min.
INSTRUCTIONS
clean the guavas, and cut then in four. Place them to boil with the water, sugar, and cinnamon. Blend the ingredients in a blender and drain the liquid to separate the seeds and the cinnamon sticks from the rest of the liquid. Place the drained liquid in a big pot and allow it to boil for 2 hours over medium heat, for the dessert to become thick and dense. (cover your arms while stirring the liquid, because the liquid is so hot and it may burn you.)
Cook until the liquid becomes clear. Place it in on trays and allow it to cool.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS AND COMMENTS
this is a typical dessert in ecuador that you serve in small dishes with a slice of fresh cheese, meat or crackers. for sure youŒll enjoy it.
