Serves: 6, allowing two per person
Ingredients: * 12 Hot Dogs * 3/4 cup taco-type corn chips * 2 cups grated American cheese * 2 tablespoons grated onion * 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce * 1/2 cup mashed avocado pear * 1 cup lettuce finely shredded * 12 hot dog buns Directions: Cut the hot dogs lengthwise, leaving a "hinge" at one side. Set aside. Crush the corn chips until they are very fine. Add ½ cup of the grated cheese. Reserve the rest. Add the grated onion, Worcestershire sauce and the avocado pear. Mix all very well. Stuff the center of each hot dog with the mixture.
Open precut hot dogs and place them open side up, on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle each bun with a bit of the shredded lettuce. Place a filled hot dog on top of the lettuce in each bun and sprinkle a portion of the grated cheese over all.
Broil about 8 inches away from the heat until the cheese just begins to melt. Serve at once.
