This is a wonderfully easy and great tasting bread. I think it would go great with grilled cheese burgers, grilled ham & cheese or just grilled cheese. I had a few slight changes. I added 1/2 cup pepperoni (I used sliced and cut into small pieces), in place of the season salt I used Penzey's Pizza Seasoning and I goofed and only added 1-1/4 cups water TOTAL. I guess you are suppose to use 1/4 cup water to dissolve the yeast and then add 1-1/4 cups additional water to the batter (I'll add this to the recipe below). The dough was stiff but I formed it inside the pan and it turned out perfect. Mine baked for 35 minutes.
Pizza Batter Bread 3 cups plain flour 1 pkg. dry yeast 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning 1/2 tsp. garlic salt 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt 2 Tbsp. melted butter 1 Tbsp. sugar 1/4 cup chopped pepperoni (or cooked, drained & crumbled sausage) 1 1/4 cups warm water 1/4 cup warm water to dissolve yeast inDissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm (not hot) water. Then combine all ingredients in a large bowl, mixing well. Place in a greased loaf pan (9 X 5) and let rise for 30 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Excellent for grilled cheese sandwiches.

Made mine today. I used Penzeys 4/S Smoky Salt for the seasoned salt and their new Tuscan Sunset for the Italian seasoning (which has replaced my Italian seasoning). I did not use any pepperoni. This should be moved over to the breads forumn. Here's my pic;
