I had this dip once at a party but the hostess used blueberry pie filling on the top instead of red raspberry preserves. Both ways are excellent.
RASPBERRY CHEESE DIP
4 cups finely shredded cheese (Fran uses the 4 flavor kind) 8 green onions, chopped, tops and all 3/4 cup chopped pecans 3/4 Hellman's Mayonnaise
Mix well and press into a pie pan. Chill overnight. Unmold onto a serving platter. Top with an 18oz jar Smucker's Red Raspberry Preserves (or flavor of your choice).
Serve with crackers like Wheat Thins or Ritz.
