Grilled Andouille Cheeseburgers Ingredients
6 - ounces Andouille sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
1-1/2 - pounds lean ground beef
1 - tablespoon garlic, minced
2 - teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
1 - teaspoon Cajan seasoning
1/2 - teaspoon salt
1/2 - teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
4 - slices (2 ounces) sharper cheddar cheese or of your choice
4 - large Kaiser onion rolls, split in half and toasted on grill
Directions
Preheat the grill to medium-high. In a food processor, chop the Andouille sausage fine. In a large mixing bowl, add the Anbdouille, ground beef, garlic, Worcestershire, New Orleans seasoning, salt and pepper. Mix; however, do not overwork the mixture. Form into 4 (1-inch-thick) patties. Place the burgers on the grill. Grill to desired doneness (about 5 minutes per side for medium-rare). During the last 2 minutes of cooking, lay cheese slices on burger’s tops and cook until melted. Place the burger on the bottom half of the roll. Garnish with favorite toppings and condiments. Serve hot.
