I got this recipe from CK....I think Hunebe posted it. I made it today and it's really good. Thought I would post it over here.
Pasta E Fagioli 1 1/2 teaspoons oil 1 lb. ground beef 1/2 lb. carrots, slivered 1 onion, chopped 1/2 lb. celery, diced 24 ounces (one large can)diced canned tomatoes 1 can red kidney beans, drained 1 can white kidney (cannelinni) beans, drained 40 ounces beef stock or broth (I used condensed soup, 2 cans, and added water) 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano 1 1/2 teaspoons pepper 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce, or to taste 1 jar spaghetti sauce 4 ounces dry pasta shell macaroni (I also added a little garlic, because I thought I shoud!)
Sauté beef in oil in large 10 quart pot until beef starts to brown. Add onions, carrots, celery and tomatoes and simmer for about 10 minute. Drain and rinse beans and add to pot. Also add beef stock, oregano, pepper, Tabasco, spaghetti sauce and noodles . Simmer until celery and carrots are tender, about 45 minute.
